The truth is that you might not even need a landing page in the first place. You may as well make one, however, because it’s a riskier proposition to actually need a landing page yet not have one at the same time.

In a nutshell, your site’s landing page is the first page that every visitor to your site will see. Did visitors from an affiliate find your site? They should end up on a landing page. Are people getting to your site via Google searches? The landing page should be the first thing they see, too.
